Noah Manderfeld
What did you do before you were a Miner?
I was a TV news reporter and later, sports director in Wausau, Wisconsin for four years. I covered everything from the Packers to local high school football and will always cherish the relationships I built with the community.
If you could have a dream dinner party, who would sit at your table?
I’d have to pick Joe Mauer. I would also pick Bryan Cranston and Bob Odenkirk (Big Breaking Bad fan here). Lastly, I’d want to sit down with Vin Scully to hear all the baseball stories from his many years of broadcasting baseball.
What are three things people don’t know about you?
+ My hometown Dairy Queen (Northfield, Minnesota!!) has been owned by my family for over 60 years. I was fortunate enough to grow up around ice cream and will never turn down a Blizzard!
+ I absolutely love baseball. I’m a big Minnesota Twins fan and go to their games regularly now that I’m back in the Twin Cities. My goal is to visit all 30 ballparks!
+ I am the bread maker in my household. I make sandwich bread, buns, rolls – you name it! There’s nothing like the taste of freshly baked bread.
If we had a Media Minefield talent show, what would your talent be?
In Wausau, I won the office cookie-making contest. Not to brag or anything, but I make a MEAN cinnamon swirl cookie.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one food, what would it be?
Sausage gnocchi soup in a garlic bread bowl. I also would accept pretty much any dessert.
