What did you do before you were a Miner?
+ I spent seven years in sports journalism, working most recently as a reporter and main anchor at CBS3 (KBJR-TV) in Duluth, Minnesota. I also worked as color commentator, play-by-play analyst and sideline reporter for the station’s sports network, broadcasting collegiate and high school sports in the Northland.

+ My favorite memory is the coverage we secured for The Loppet Foundation and the Loppet Cup – the first World Cup cross-country ski event in the U.S. since 2001. All tickets for the event were claimed months in advance! In support of our client, I was able to be on site to see to see Gus Schumacher become the first American man to win a World Cup distance race since 1983, as well as Jessie Diggins place third overall in the women’s 10k race. Just days before the event, we got five inches of snow — perfect timing that made for an incredible story leading up to race day.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
+ RTO – relinquish the outcome
If you could time travel and spend a day at any past or future event, where would you go?
+ I would have one final Minnesota lake day with my mom, who passed away of brain cancer in 2023.
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t at work?
+ I love running and going on long walks with my husband and my dog, Duke.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
+ Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked
