What did you do before you were a Miner?

I grew up setting up my parents’ video camera and putting on my own newscasts, as both a news anchor and a sports reporter, so I think I was always meant to end up in the world of news. I studied Journalism at the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers!). After college, I spent 8 years at Fox 9 in Minneapolis, first as a topical producer, then a promotions producer until finally becoming the marketing and log coordinator.

If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be?

On the beach in Hawaii where my husband and I went for our honeymoon with a good book and a Mai Tai.

What do you do for fun?

So many things! I love watching sports, so you can usually find me going to a Minnesota Twins or Minnesota Wild game. My husband and I love taking our dog, a Westie named Lexi, to explore new breweries (she loves it, too!). I also love to travel. I can't wait to start planning our next adventure. And anytime I can find myself in the kitchen, I am in my happy place. I love to bake. It is my go-to way to unwind and de-stress.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one food, what would it be?

Any type of Mexican food but specifically chips, salsa and guacamole. I could eat Mexican food every day for the rest of my life.
