What did you do before you were a Miner?
+ After graduating from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State, I started my career as a writer for a Phoenix TV news station. I worked my way up to producing the 6 pm news.
+ After nearly 8 years in news, I was ready for a change and found a role at a PR agency with a speciality in product public relations.
+ I brought all that experience to Media Minefield!
Share your favorite client memory.
+ I lead our crisis communications team and while that work can be unpredictable, I find it to be the most rewarding. Without violating any client confidentiality, we have helped clients message difficult situations internally and externally; we have been a resource and a strategic partner for clients who are dealing with some difficult and heavy topics; we have kept things out of the news and changed the narrative when it is in the media; we have ensured businesses endure long after a crisis situation. Our strategic messaging expertise and external perspective are invaluable to our clients. In these moments, I can’t help but see how important our work is.

+ Don’t borrow trouble!!!
What is your favorite quote?

What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t at work?
+ I love a good league: sand volleyball, bowling or corn hole (AKA bags)
+ I had two personal goals in life: to be a dog mom and an auntie. I am both and I spend as much time as possible with my little loves.

What’s your favorite way to relax and recharge?
+ Traveling, going to concerts or pampering myself (massage, mani/pedi, facial)
