What did you do before you were a Miner?
+ I was a journalist for three years in Nebraska before spending seven-plus years leading Communications and Operations at a nonprofit in downtown Chicago.
What is your favorite quote?
+ “Never tell me the odds.” – Han Solo
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
+ I’d love to instantly know how to fly an airplane. More practically, I’d love to know the ins and outs of a trade, like an electrician. Home projects would be far less eventful, in a good way!
What’s your favorite way to relax and recharge?
+ My tastes are scattered across the spectrum, from sports to Sci-Fi/Fantasy board games, and everything in between. Books are a passion of mine, as is catching a movie at St. Michael Cinema!
What’s your favorite family tradition?
+ Each year, we celebrate Thanksgiving with extended family in Wisconsin, and then cut down a Christmas tree the next day at Whispering Pines Tree Farm, which is near the old family farm. We then haul it back to our home in MN and ring in the holiday season!
