SENIOR MEDIA COACH
Brandon Bankston
What did you do before you were a Miner?
+ I was a photojournalist and reporter for TV stations across the Midwest for nearly 20 years. That background helps me make sure clients are well-prepared to give fantastic interviews.
Share your favorite client memory.
+ I wrote a Thought Leadership article for a client who is a financial advisor. When it was published, he called me, excited to share that someone contacted him to say they’d read the article and wanted my client to manage a several-million-dollar portfolio. It was clear evidence that thought leadership is effective!
What would you tell your 20-year-old self?
+ Relax: It’s all going to work out, and it’s going to be pretty awesome!
If you could time travel and spend a day at any past or future event, where would you go?
+ Beyond the obvious “go into the future and write down the winning lottery numbers?” I think it’d be interesting to be in the room at critical moments in history like the Situation Room during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
What do you enjoy doing when you aren’t at work?
+ Woodworking, playing with cars and building over-the-top computers.
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
+ Bodywork! I can handle car repairs, but fixing cosmetic damage might as well be an arcane art.
