What did you do before you were a Miner?
+ Before joining the Media Minefield team, I was a morning news anchor at WDIO-TV in Duluth, MN. I started there as a reporter and then transitioned to the early hours behind the desk. I studied journalism and sports management at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and was lucky enough to intern at CNN in New York City and KARE 11 and WCCO in the Twin Cities.
Share your favorite client memory.
+ My favorite client memory is working with the Alliance of Minnesota Craft Breweries in Minnesota to help them #FreeTheGrowler. It was a two-year long campaign that involved strategic media interviews, social media and thought leadership articles to educate the public on the issue in a way that would lead to action at the State Capitol. It was amazing to see how the work paid off, the messaging spread and eventually, all local breweries were able to sell growlers. Celebrating as a finalist at the PR Week Awards was the cherry on top!
What would you tell your 20-year-old self?
+ Mistakes and change are ok! They don’t define who you are and only help you grow into the person you’re meant to be.
If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be?
+ To speak another language.
What’s your favorite family tradition?
+ Watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Christmas Eve and falling asleep every time!
