Media Coach

Media Minefield is hiring a Media Coach to join our growing team of News Ninjas who work together to move beyond traditional PR by sharing our clients’ messaging through earned media and social media (Positive Online Presence). Our ideal candidate is an excellent writer with 2-5 years real-world newsroom, journalism and/or communications experience, is gifted in noticing even the smallest details, appreciates the power of messaging through media and values collaboration.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage healthy and successful client and media relationships
  • Identify and communicate clients’ key messages through media interviews and appearances
  • Coach clients pre- and post-interview
  • Curate and write social media posts that showcase our clients' key messages
  • Connect client interviewing and messaging opportunities to current headlines

 

Job Requirements:

  • Proven prior media, journalism or communications experience
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing creative content and the ability to give constructive, relevant feedback
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills

Social Media (POP®) Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with our Media Coaches as they create messaging for our clients’ social media pages. Social Media Coordinators have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing public social media accounts and are meticulously detailed, deadline driven News Ninjas as they jump from one project to the next. As self-starters, our Social Media Coordinators are also innovative problem solvers with the ability to prioritize, organize and strategize while navigating through various platform ambiguities.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategically optimize posts with tags and hashtags, post, monitor and engage for Positive Online Presence (POP®) Premier clients
  • Create and maintain monthly POP® Reports for POP® and POP® Premier clients
  • Crop photos and create collages to fit parameters of social media platforms as directed by Media Coaches
  • Assist Media Coaches with social media strategy for POP® clients, review analytics to inform strategy going forward and act as a resource for clients with questions related to social media
  • Assist Media Coaches with social media training for clients as neededResearch updates to social media platforms and social media posting best practices and cascade to Media Teams
  • Communicate with Agorapulse, our social media scheduling and reporting system

 Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram platforms
  • Proficiency in Google app software (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) and general troubleshooting ability
  • Adept at quickly understanding new software (applications) and processes
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment

Graphic Designer

Our ideal Graphic Designer will bring at least 3 years of creative experience to our team of News Ninjas. The Graphic Designer is a self-starter with proven experience in graphic design for social media platforms, print and digital collateral, presentations and marketing materials. An eye for detail is an absolute must-have, along with the ability to pivot quickly as priorities change and a motivation to work collaboratively on quick-turn deliverables and longer-term projects.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Embrace and model the MINER Core Values
  • Prioritize creative deliverables including social media graphics, presentations, handouts, logo creation, print collateral and more
  • Create photo crops and collages to fit parameters of social media platforms as directed by Media Coaches
  • Act as a resource for cross-functional teams for projects and design needs, and provide design assistance for other marketing and internal communications materials as needed
  • Develop/adhere to brand guidelines for clients
  • Prepare files for print and work with external print vendors to ensure high quality production of printed materials
  • Be able to spot design inconsistencies in color, spacing, fonts, etc. easily when presented

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in graphic design
  • Proven proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Experience in creating and adhering to brand standards
  • Excellent sense of design, visual brand consistency, typography and use of photography
  • Adept at print design and sending files to print Skilled in digital design and online requirements
  • Working knowledge of video editing and website design
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
