What did you do before you were a Miner?
I was a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato where I studied Mass Communication with a Marketing minor. While taking classes I completed two part-time internships, one as a marketing intern for the University Dining Services and the other as a public relations intern for the Centennial Student Union. I was a part of the Marketing Club for two years and served on the executive team as the Director of Operations during my last two semesters. I had a part-time job working at a daycare all throughout my four years of college and have a sweet spot for all children!
What are three things people don’t know about you?
+ I had my own blog while in college and wrote about a variety of topics for students to refer or relate to while working towards an undergraduate degree.
+ I enjoy creating pottery, I have taken multiple pottery classes in the past and someday hope to purchase my own wheel!
+ When I was younger I had a collection of “Peanuts Snoopy & Woodstock” stuffed animals. In total I had about 40 of them!
What do you do for fun?
In my free time I like to surround myself with good people and create memories! I am one to take a lot of photos while at family gatherings or out with friends. I love looking back at memories and seeing where I was then and where I am now. I also enjoy taking yoga classes and have a goal to become a certified yoga instructor in the near future!
What are your favorite quotes?
+ “Don’t adapt to the energy in the room. Influence the energy in the room.” – Marlene Jennings
+ “Live and let live, do not judge, take life as it comes and deal with it, everything will be okay.” – James Frey
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one food, what would it be?
Hummus! I know it's not technically a food, but I have a serious obsession with hummus and will eat it with most of my meals.
